CMM partnered with Michael Melillo at Melillo Architecture to build a beautiful, year-round home on a 10,500-square-foot lot in Avon-by-the-Sea, New Jersey. Throughout the 6 bedrooms, 6 baths, and sprawling outdoor space, every detail is evident of both the owners’ elegance and the decades of combined experience between CMM and Melillo.

The owners wanted a feeling of openness in the living area. They also wanted the ability to separate the space in a fashionable manner. Pocket doors with beveled glass make it easy and effortless to achieve the traditional kitchen-to-living-room divide.
A pure and simple pastime.
A glass of wine on the porch is all it takes to make this couple happy. The wine comes from a custom built-in cellar, while interchangeable screen and glass panels surrounding the deck allow for comfortable outdoor enjoyment from spring through fall.
An endless summer.
The sun warms the blue stone patio in the cooler seasons, a built-in fan keeps everyone cool during the hot summer days, and the backyard is directly connected to the pool. Between the front porch, back porch, open air deck, and full bath connected to the exterior, the owners have everything to kick back and embrace the sea breeze with loved ones.
